Taylah Gray examines the history of Indigenous dispossession and Native Title. Tracked through legal cases, Taylah applies a legal perspective to the language of savagery and colonialism. Taylah Gray is a proud Wiradjuri woman, lawyer and PHD candidate. Her campaigning efforts for Indigenous rights have made national headlines. She is the first Indigenous student to undertake a PhD in law at the University of Newcastle. Taylah is also undertaking a PhD in Law with a focus on Native Title and economic theories, which seeks to increase economic growth and land reform for First Nations communities. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
